Volunteer Pre-Kindergarten (VPK)
Florida’s FREE Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK) program is available to all of Florida’s 4 year olds*, regardless of income. Children who attend a quality pre-kindergarten program are better prepared when they enter school. The program is designed to prepare children for kindergarten and to build a foundation for educational success.
• *FREE for all children who are 4 years old by September 1 and reside in Florida.
• *FREE for children who turn 5 years old between February 2 through September 1 and postpone their VPK eligibility to the next program year and reside in Florida.
The program runs for 540 instructional hours during the school year and 300 instructional hours during the summer.
How do I register for VPK?
Registering your child for the VPK program is simple as 1, 2, 3.
Innovative & Responsible
At NOVA Child Learning Academy, our mission consists of providing a warm and nurturing environment where children feel safe. Our unique Learning Academy offers various activities that are specifically designed to encourage each child’s growth. Through cooperative play and creative activities, kids reach their social, emotional and physical milestones naturally and with ease. To help you make good decisions about your child care facility, download the Parent's Child Care Facility Checklist. This brochure will give you tips about Quality Activities, Quality Environments and what to look for in a Quality Caregiver. This list was generated by the Office of Child Care Regulation and Background Screening to give you a reference guide to know your child care facility. We use this as a standard for minimum practice in our learning academy.

Learn & Explore
Our story began with the need to find quality care in a safe environment where our kids could learn, play and be happy with their friends. We needed the space to be full of fun things to do and run by smart, fun and well trained child care professionals. It was important that the facility would be welcoming, reliable and affordable. It was hard to find all of these needs in one facility. We simply decided to build our own. This project is 30 years in the making.
After working in childcare facilities for over 30 years, we put together a program that is good for the beautiful children we are so happy to have in our care.
We provide parents peace of mind in knowing their child is safe, having fun and learning. We think of the children that come into our Learning Academy as bright brilliant stars, full of light whose future is so meaningful to the success of themselves, their family and the community. That is why we chose the name Nova.
At NOVA Child Learning Academy, we envision that our children are able to become future leaders by being active participants in and shapers of their world; to grow cognitively, socially, emotionally and globally in unison with our parents objectives through child based and teacher facilitated learning. We’re proud to provide a caring and safe environment for your children. By following our mission, vision and values, we create a nurturing, stimulating and welcoming learning environment for all children.
We provide our students with the tools they need for future happiness and success. Our unique programs incorporate a variety of educational theories, while always keeping the child’s best interests in mind and allowing for hands-on, experiential learning.
